Ten minutes.One honest look.
Seven tests you can run on your own website today. No tools, no login, no sign-up.

Look at your site
with fresh eyes.
Most firms haven’t looked at their own site the way a client does in years. These tests take about ten minutes and need nothing but a phone and an honest friend.
The five-second test
Show your homepage to someone outside the firm for five seconds, then hide it. Can they tell you what kind of law you practise, and where?
The phone test
Hand your phone to a friend and ask them to book a consultation on your site. Time it. Watch where they hesitate.
The problem test
Pick a real client problem, like “my ex won’t follow the custody order.” Starting from your homepage, how many clicks to a page that speaks to it?
The read-aloud test
Read one practice-area page out loud. Would someone who isn’t a lawyer understand it the first time through?
The listing test
Search your firm’s name. Do your website, Google profile and directory listings show the same name, address and phone number?
The after-hours test
Visit your site at 10 p.m. as if you just got bad news. Is there a clear way to reach you, or at least to know when you’ll hear back?
The competitor test
Search your main practice area and city. Open the first three firms you see. Would a stranger pick you over them? Be honest.
